What are the four anchor sets?

The four-piece anchor set refers to the anchor plate, clamp, base plate, and spiral reinforcement. Among them, the anchor plate and clamp are collectively referred to as the two-piece anchor set, which use the wedging principle of the tapered hole to anchor the steel strands. When the steel strand bundle is tensioned using a jack to reach the design stress value, the jack is slowly released, and the clamp of the anchor is brought into the tapered hole of the anchor plate by the uniformly retracted steel strand bundle, forming an anchoring unit. The stress of the steel strand bundle is transferred to the building structure through the anchor plate and anchor base plate, forming a permanent prestress.

The base plate is a plate-shaped component between the upper and lower purlins or the upper and lower beams, and its thickness is usually one doukou (a traditional Chinese unit of length). Spiral reinforcement, or spiral hoops, in reinforced concrete structures, are formed by connecting individual hoops (referred to as single hoops) inside bar-shaped members such as beams, columns, and piles into a continuous ring shape.
